If you are thinking about buying a pet bird, then you will need to find a dealer that knows about all of the species and different breeds of colorful, exotic birds that you can choose from. Like humans, birds are bipedal, warm blooded vertebrate animals. Unlike humans, though, birds have colorful feathers, are egg-laying, and most of them are expert at flying. Some species, like emus and ostriches, are terrestrial, which means that they cannot fly. Many people keep exotic birds because of their colorful feathers, but you might also enjoy the singing sounds that they use to communicate. All bird species are warm blooded, egg-laying vertebrate animals, but there is a lot of diversity between the different breeds. Just think of the differences between an ostrich and a hummingbird!
